Potter mania!

The week gone by was a busy week for me with committee stuff, assignments, quizzes, and... HARRY POTTER! Let me first confess than I am a die hard Harry Potter fan. And yup, inspite of the busy schedule which I am supposedly in, I made time to read the latest release of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Half Blood prince. This is the punultimate book of the series and expectedly, the atmosphere in the book is thoroughly worked up. Suspense is at it's peak and it's no wonder people have already started looking forward for the last book in the series. Rowling sure knows how to enchant readers-children or adults.

Coming back to acads, LAM (Legal Aspects of Management) is currently going right over my head with a plethora of Acts, sections and articles throughly messing up any cognition I gain about Laws. I've got to read harder if I see myself in any position with a decent grade. MANAC first quiz went pretty well. Yet, the second quiz seems ominous and gloomy. QAM and COMM quizzes went well too. Economics quiz is round the corner.

Apparently (accd to seniors), this year has a lot of IITians and engineers in our batch compared to that last few years, thus raising our batch profile and also raising the institutes expectations from our batch. Also, last year was a bad time to be as a fresher in IIML as many people are being made to repeat the first year (the number was much less till before last year). Campus talk says it happened due to some unavoidable problems last year, and is a one time occurence. In any case, the latter has visibly scared many first years, who prefer digging themselves inside books to wasting time in non-academic activities (Iam not one of those though :D). Suitably enough, this batch is pretty much "acads oriented".

It seems like just yesterday that I have reached L, but we are already nearing the half way mark of the term. People have already started making plans for going back at the end of the term.
