Half term over, or half term left?
Our mid terms ended on Fri and I have been totally chilling off after that. I watched close to 6 movies in the last 2 days (on a comp and otherwise). There is a multiplex in Lucknow called "Wave" which is a pretty cool place with McD, PizzaHut and others. I had a pizza yday and a movie in a theatre after a gap of almost 2 months! Back home, there were no 10 days without a pizza or a movie :D.The sudden chill out factor is majorly because of 3 consecutive hols in IIML (never happens, it seems). I had an option of going to Naintal or some other hill station. But I reserved the visit to later (second year?) and confined myself to the municipal limits of Lucknow instead.
Indian cricket team never fails to surprise me. It manages to reach the finals without Sachin, Laxman and Sourav (?), only to squander away an opportunity for the taking. Across the globe, England deserves a win, not for its sake, but to run down the winning streak of Austrlia. More than 3 years have passed with Australia on the top of the table. Are the other country teams really so damn untalented as to succumb to Aussie's dominance almost everytime?
Google's new google earth (earth.google.com) is really worth exploring. Apparently, it gives a bird's eye view (literally!) of any place in this world. Google is becoming a sort of monopoly in many new markets (well, it is the first of its kind to create insanely new products). There is a talk that Google value's creativity so much that it has a suggestion box kind of thing in which it encourages the employees to put in whatever vague but creative ideas they get. Google Earth is apparently one such brain child.
Terrorists world wide are on a rampage. London blasts and now assassination of Sri Lanka's foreign minister (actually the latter was because of a militant group in SL..what's the difference anyway?). Hopefully Aug 15 will be spared.
Sweden legalises looking up ladies' skirts! It has once again consolidated its position as the most sexually liberal nation in the world. Earlier, Sweden had legalised gay adoption, inter alia. Check out this link for further info: http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/features/politics/61694
I'm planning to be more frequent to the gym and also improve my Pool playing abilities this term. Hopefully I'll be able to do both.
