Back to school
I am back to school after a week long break. Two weeks without a post - ask the term end exams and the home coming break.I should say I have utilised my hols pretty well. I caught up on my friends from IITM and YASU, had loads of sleep, some great food (Ya, home food is great!), lots of movies, etc. So now I am thoroughly refreshed, re-energised, re-vitalised, etc to start the new term afresh. I had to do a lot of shopping too..for the summers as well as the winter - both of which are round the corner. I bought a blazer (for summers) and thermals (for winter) for the first time in my life!
I was planning to write on my learnings from Term I. The next post may prolly be the one.
Day One
Once again, after the routine of collecting no dues and payment of fees finished, all the first years were given a bag full of books, marking the end of the registration process. Some people actually carried their travel bags for the same :). After that, we had a Pre Placement Talk for the summers by Goldman Sachs. They talked about their Bangalore division, which incidentally is GIR (Global Investment Research) which is different from IBD (Investment Banking Division). The talk went on well. To get into GS, you need to be good in finance, have to work hard and for long hours and should have enthu to learn a lot.
That is pretty much my day one for Term 2. This term definitely looks packed already with lots of summer prep, competitions and important courses.
